About Julia Kay

I was born and raised in the mountains just outside of Boulder, CO. Spending my days outside in the woods shaped my love for wild things and the perfect imperfection of nature that was constantly surrounding me. I carried this beauty with me through my first career as a dancer. I started dancing in high school and quickly fell in love with the way it made me feel. I danced for more than 20 years, teaching, performing, touring, auditioning, and finally directing my very own full length shows. Dance taught me that no movement will ever be perfect, but with attention they can be therapeutic, beautiful and effortless.

My love for nature followed me to my next career as a landscaper. Working beside my mother, I learned how to care for and design gardens. After managing a gardening business I started my own small business and from there went into groundskeeping full time for a large property by Chautauqua. 15 years later I decided it was time for a drastic change. Goodbye achy body and heat stroke… hello air conditioning! 😉

And that is what brings us to my third career as an esthetician. I have learned that beauty is so much more than skin deep. It all stems from within. My goal as an esthetician is to help my clients find what is natural and beautiful for them, and so to achieve even more confidence. For different people that can mean different things: lash extensions for an instant gratification boost, an hour to disconnect with a relaxing facial, or a long-term skin care plan to help correct and enhance skin quality.
